Lilly and May Dolls

Lily doll wears a charming two-tone dress with a bobble knot detail on the skirt, while May doll sports a knitted T-shirt and a textured pinafore dress. Both dolls even have knitted knickers! Their knitted hair with coordinating hair bows is simple to create and will always stay neat.

Knitting flat on standard straight needles and seamed, these dolls and their clothes are a joy to make. The dolls are knitted from the head down, with the arms and hair added later. Lily doll’s dress features a knot stitch that may challenge beginner or intermediate knitters, but don’t worry—there’s a lovely and simpler stocking stitch version as well. The pinafore dress uses basic knit and purl stitches, and a plain version of this garment is also included.

Standing at 38cm/15″ tall (excluding hair), Lily and May are the perfect companions for imaginative play and dress-up fun. Knit them with Paintbox Yarns Simply DK or Stylecraft Special DK in the recommended yarn quantities for each part.

Both dolls have adorable 10mm black toy safety eyes, and you’ll need toy stuffing (50g per doll) to give them their huggable shape. Additionally, gather stitch holders, buttons for dress closures and decoration, and 5mm buttons for the shoes.
